Aren't we ALL Smore's Lovers?

It's ColorThrowDown Time

In today's challenge we were supposed to use orange, brown, rust and yellow.
So I used what I thought was best for stamps from STAMPtember 2018.

So here is my entry, for #ctd514 I enjoyed this card. Just found it a struggle to
work with only darker colours.

In this challenge we had to use four colours, orange, brown, rust and yellow. Being autumn colours and loving this stamp I thought it would be the best.

I couldn't resist but to put a message on the inside of this card.

Because S'Mores are the best!

The stamp used was jointly developed between Simon Says Stamps
and Hefty Dooddle, for STAMPtember. These little fellows fit the colour
requirements. Besides Smore are were perfect.

This week challenge was to use three colors, green, lime and navy blue.
Best of all I got to use for the first time my personally made stencil and the grass die that I had designed.

This is my card for the ColorThrowdown#513

Bird's on Wire!

We all just need to not only get, but to send cards to remind others
that we are thinking of them. Here you will see a card
where there are three birds, two of them on a black wire
and one that is flying.

I painted the background on some Strathmore Vision 140lb cold press watercolour paper using water as a base and then adding
shades of blue from my Koi Water Colors by Sakura.

I used Recolections bird dies, cutting them three times on Neenah black 65lb card-stock, and Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush, and Ranger Liquid Pearls.
I used a black (N10) Artist Loft alcohol marker to blacken some
jute for the birds to land on. I placed some fun foam to lift the card front
from the base. Placed the twine around the front of the card; taping with
plain tape on the back to hold it in place. After putting the card together I stamped it using a stamp from Hero Arts, and Permanent Black
Altenew Crisp Inks, and added some jewels to finish off the card.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Back to School

My grandson wanted a board for going back to school. So of course nana (that's me) made him one. Now this is the first one I ever did, and well let's say it was an adventure.  I embarked on a journey to where I had no idea.

So what do you do? You go to Pintrest. Right? I had to become a quick study. And, I think I didn't do to bad. Well, let's say for a first try it wasn't bad. It had to work....I didn't have another piece of black poster-board left.

So this is my first try at "Back to School" sign.

When my grandson saw it he said with a a strange look "I am not 5, I am 5 1/2". Then smiled and said thanks Nana. He ran off. So I guess it must have been okay because the next day.....

Moral of the story is that next year Nana will get it right!

Have a wonderful day.
